Statistics report that the average U.S. residential electricity prices will rise approximately 3.7 % this year and another 3.6% next year – that’s almost 10% in a two year period. It also doesn’t help that the demand for electricity is expected to increase 40% in the next 25 years. Haven Properties Receives ENERGY STAR Excellence Award

Haven Properties LogoThe U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named the Atlanta-based new home builder, Haven Properties, as a 2008 Excellence in ENERGY STAR Promotion Award winner for outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. An ENERGY STAR Partner and award winner for three consecutive years, Haven Properties’ efforts include building all homes to meet or exceed ENERGY STAR requirements and sponsoring consumer education efforts to promote energy efficient homes. Recently, the builder has begun offering a two-year utility guarantee on all new homes, agreeing to pay the difference between actual and predicted energy usage in homes that use more energy than expected during the first two years.
